Land Mark Design worked with the
client to solve site problems on their residential property. The existing
gravel drive did not allow any room to exit parked vehicles. The existing
steps were steep and dangerous. The existing front garden blocked terrace
doors and a steep sloped front lawn was not usable and difficult to maintain.
New retaining walls frame a new brick drive and entry steps. Walls also
enclose a terrace with access to the house. The tree lawn was replaced
with step stones and groundcover plants. The materials and proportions
complement those of the historic Franklin Street home.
